I saw this boat advertised by Howes Models in Oxfordshire, it was so cheap I had to have it!
Turns out the ESC was knackered, but it had a Turnigy Aquastar 1800KV watercooled brushless motor in it, so still a bargain, I’ve obtained a few boats now whereas the seller has ‘got rid’ due to what has turned out to be quite a minor fault.
So a new ESC and it flys! probably amongst the fastest boats I own, and great fun to sail, using a 12v NiMh.
Pretty sure the RNLI dont have a Perkasa so its not representing anything in ‘real life’ just a fun boat (Although I think they should as response times would be pretty rapid!)
