I’m always looking on Ebay & Facebook marketplace for interesting RC boats and possible projects, and when this trawler came up I couldn’t resist, it didn’t take much tidying, some cleaning and refitting of loose parts, and removal of some I didn’t like.
It needed an ESC, battery & receiver and then put it in the bath to check for leaks.
Then straight down to the lake to try it out, its still really cold out so just a quick sail to see if any adjustments needed.
The weed was a major problem today! so sailing cut short, but from the bit I did see performed well.
2nd visit to the lake, the weed was much more under control, and a successful albeit cold sail.
